Statement

As a designer, my greatest joy comes from waking up every morning and knowing there are endless opportunities to be discovered.

Originally from Taiwan, I grew up in a family with traditional values which are constantly challenged by the uprooting process. As a result, I tend to be caring, curious and adventurous, and it is in my nature to embrace all forms of culture, to observe from different angles, and to discover the qualities, interests and needs among people. These abilities initially lead me to an interdisciplinary field where I could analyze the human mind using a scientific approach and computational technologies.

To nurture my creative side and to further explore applications in cognitive science, I made a life changing decision to pursue a second degree at Art Center College of Design. My previous learning experience provided me with valuable knowledge and sensitivity in my problem solving skills. I was able to utilize my creativity in designing alternative solutions for problems by observing and analyzing users’ physical and emotional interaction with the world.

Good design usually carries a vision or important message. I believe my integrated experience would bring a refreshing breeze of creativity to carry this vision into beneficial and meaningful business solutions. I look forward to work with like-minded people to share my story, my skills and experiences to plant seeds for the future.
