I grew up in the Bay Area surrounded by scientists and engineers. The concept of industrial design didn’t exist until a fluke encounter with an Art Center product alum. This led to hours of Google searches that left things like “what is industrial design and careers in product design” in my search history. The realization that product design was my calling hit me like a ton of bricks. By the end of the month I had signed up for Art Center night classes, stuffed my things into my car, grabbed my map and started driving towards Pasadena.
Four years later, with my designer wings stronger, I have found my role in design strategy. Whether it’s crafting user experiences, carving out a roadmap for a brand’s future, or creating systems that are efficient and dependable, I thrive on designing the bigger picture.
