“Made in China, polished in Art Center.” It’s me, Susan Zhang.

I believe it’s time to redefine “Made in China”. As one of the new generation of industrial designers from China, I keep asking myself how to turn my deep understanding of the Chinese culture into designs that can be appreciated by the world.

My designs live in a multi-layer ecosystem and breathe its culture. My rational left-brain discovers the hidden connections among elements and maps out opportunities in a system, which leads to innovative brand strategies. My perceptual right-brain tells a meaningful story that visually communicates engaging user experience. These two sides work together to build a solid concept.
