Statement

Hello my name is Devin Procter.

I grew up in a fairly insulated community, in a town where people didn’t leave and lived for the present. I always felt out of place. It wasn’t until I left to study game development at Savannah College of Art and Design that I began to see the value of design, and myself as an individual.

I made my way to Art Center College of Design, originally as an Entertainment Design major, where I discovered Product Design. Product Design is a field that acknowledges and embraces individuality, and you can create opportunities for people to experience to understand themselves better. It's a realm where it is not only possible, but likely, that you can impact the world we live in.

Creating experiences which enable a person’s perspective and interests to come through is where my passion lies. I consider how a product or service will impact people on a personal level and am able to offer a thoughtful perspective on the relationship between people and their experiences.

Design has become my new community, and I intend to continue questioning the status quo and creating opportunities for discovery and individuality.
