I used to be a painfully shy kid that was buried in sketchbooks and even afraid of facing my own friends. That changed in high school, thankfully, when I was introduced to industrial design and encouraged to find my own voice. I loved that I could use art in a practical and sensitive way and the diverse exploration of thinking that design allows.
Now, as a designer and researcher, I want to use my skills to give others a voice. I want to learn about the communities around me and discover the subtle nuances that make it special. In order to design the most innovative and meaningful strategies I spend time really getting to know the people I hope to impact, fostering trust and honesty.
This personal approach allows me to see the various shades of grey. I want my work to be the springboard for deeper conversation and lay the foundation for others to create systems that will make an impact.
