Statement

Howdy, I’m Austin Nelson. I grew up building car models and making tree huts in my backyard, always with a sketchbook in hand. DIY was part of our family DNA and we were raised with an appreciation for making something from nothing.

This love for creating has followed me through my journey as a designer. I can explore ideas for hours on end, geeking out on the details and sketching ideas that solve problems. I am constantly seeking that overlap, the intersection, where functional elements marry aesthetic decisions, the user research matches the form. Nirvana for me is finding that sweet spot.
