Before coming to Art Center, I received a degree in mechanical engineering at UW-Madison and a Master's degree in Engineering Design & Innovation at Northwestern University. During that time, I happened to see Steve Jobs’ 2007 iPhone keynote address. It totally blew my mind.
I never knew a product could be so beautiful and how the “total presentation” made it all more compelling. That speech planted the seed that brought me to Art Center where I learned to tell the story and to create beautiful form.
Today, I am able to embrace the engineering of my past and blend it with my design thinking, creating a bridge between the two worlds. Merging these two sides of myself, I have found, helps to create comprehensive solutions and fosters collaboration among the team.
