Honesty is one of the most important characteristics that a designer must have, but not always easy to achieve as people tend to believe in what they believe based on their own experiences. In a blue-sky project, designers are required to come up with a unique solution that can be easily distinguished. And it is easy to be trapped by the words of "uniqueness" and "distinguish-ability" which may lead to false designs. I always look at myself and ask if I am honestly trying to see the design as an end user, and with no previous experience clouding my judgment. I don't wish to be the well-trained designer, but rather want to sincerely to understand "what users need." Designers always must convince people of their designs. But before I can convince them, I have to be convinced of my own design. Before they listen to me, my design has to convince them of my thought and enthusiasm. Being honest with myself is the key to not only to be a user-friendly designer but also to creatively think without false design.
For my design perspective and skills, I just love expressing my ideas on paper. When I draw something, I feel I am connected to a new world that I have always dreamed of. And it leads me to be a product designer who will contribute to human society and create future design icons. Creating a new idea that helps people live better and designing new products that make users happy are my simple goals.
