Ross Koball

Statement

I come from a family of construction workers in Minnesota. I grew up in the outdoors building strong foundations for homes and having adventures with vehicles of every kind.

Having access to machinery, my first design projects were building motocross tracks with friends in our backyards. I am fascinated by where vehicles take us and how they work.

Design is an adventure. Starting off not knowing where you’ll end up is what keeps me coming back. I enjoy finding the pieces along the way to build a strong foundation around an idea. The more you connect with people and share interest in their passion, the more key pieces to the foundation are revealed. I’ve learned that hands-on experience is the fastest way to understand an object’s purpose.

I am an adventurous yet practical thinker, a mechanical problem-solver who loves to draw and build things that move. I am excited to see where design can take me!
