I received my first product design degree in Thailand, my home country. The situation there is very different from here in America. With limited accessibility to resources and technology to support my ideas, I became a resourceful designer. I adapted to be able to create designs from whatever I could get my hands on. As my skills refined, this approach to design shaped and formed my philosophy. I believe that authenticity in products, designs, or even brands, should come from the tools, materials, people, and environment that they were born in. They should take not only the inspiration of their surroundings, but also the energy and spirit from the people who create them. Every project I worked on during my time in California is infused with this philosophy. The experience I create for my users through this practice is both real and intimate. Design and creativity should be born naturally from its origins. That is the value I carry as a designer.
