Benji Kuroda

Statement

I was born in Peru, raised in Miami, and attended a design high school in the heart of the city. It was there that I first got exposed to the field of design which eventually led me to Art Center.

I started off with the goal of becoming a car designer but quickly discovered that while I loved cars’ beauty, designing form was not enough for me. Then in 2013 I had the opportunity to travel thousands of miles across the country with innovators from colleges at Stanford, Berkeley, and Santa Cruz. Teaching elementary and middle school students the power of creativity through design workshops. And it was then, for the first time, that I learned about the joy of working closely with people of different disciplines, getting inspired by great thinkers, and bringing meaningful experiences to life.

I love environments where I can collaborate with creative and technical individuals, in order to transform ideas into real interactive products and experiences that bring delight to our users.
