Statement

I was a kid who loved watching and playing sports and when I was 12, I saw an Adidas shoe ad that featured a product design alumnus from Art Center. That was the moment I discovered footwear design, and realized that this was a career in which I could contribute my passion. I knew this was my path.

But there were a few stops on the journey before I got there - high school in the midwest, college in Seattle, military back home Korea, and finally back to my path at Art Center.

I continue to be a sports enthusiast and my specialties are what I saw at 12: footwear and athletic performance products. I believe design, like sports, is a continuous journey in which you must expect the unexpected. My goal is to create a product that not only propels human ability to a higher level but also leaves an unforgettable and fully-engaged impression on the user.
