Statement

Hello, my name is Ming Lin.

I grew up in Taipei, Taiwan, the youngest of 6. Having 4 sisters and 1 brother taught me early on how to be a great listener and respect differing opinions while still being able to share my own. As I have a previous degree in industrial design, I came to Art Center seeking an international dialogue.

I love working with people from different backgrounds, sharing cultural perspectives and through our ideation, finding the most effective solutions. Finding solutions are like finding the perfect gift for someone you love. Solutions must consider who it will impact. What are the needs of someone in Africa vs. South America? Will the emotional engagement be the same in the Korean market as it would be in the US? International dialogue has to be part of the conversation as we move forward in design thinking.
