Statement

As a kid I was an imaginative doodler, passionate about math, science, and the arts. I followed this thread along many interests, attaining a BA in Studio Art from Smith College, then bouncing between architecture firms, civil rights advocacy groups and business engagement. I realized that real change occurs when solutions combine the artistic, the actionable and the attainable. I wanted to create purposeful solutions for people through the power of design.

I love connecting with people through design thinking. I go to great lengths to find the right folks to talk to: the DIYers that create their own solutions, the experts with the most advanced technologies, the outsider. I find the patterns that happen on the edges. By poring over trend cycles and drawing out their historical significance, I believe we get a glimpse of the future. This is the treasure that I seek, a gift that will propel people to think differently and drive the design process forward. I want to be on this precipice, shaping a new world.
