Hi, I’m Trevor Cheney. I’m from Santa Cruz, California and came down to Los Angeles to pursue industrial design. Since living in LA, I have grown to love the vastness of the city. The open space, the variety of resources and the freedom of travel; I am someone who doesn’t mind the occasional traffic. It is the forced break that allows for deep reflection and critical thinking. While I’m driving I spend my time dissecting new ideas, formulating different approaches and trying to create simplicity out of chaos.
When I’m working on a project I always consider the user experience and how people engage and interact with a product. I listen, observe, and assess, generating solutions that enhance our day-to-day interactions. I want to make the familiar functional while being mindful of the aesthetics. Products should be both beautiful and useful. I believe we naturally gravitate towards products that have been deeply considered.
