Anna Meddaugh

Statement

Prior to studying design, I enjoyed a career in public health data management and analysis. In that role, I employed logic, organization, and problem-solving skills to strategize around public health issues -- and I would often act as the translator between subject matter experts and information systems, deciphering the deeper needs.

Ultimately, I decided to pursue design in order to address problems further upstream. I chose ArtCenter for the Designmatters program, following my passion for social design.

I really love the early stages of the design process. Research is key to understanding what is really going on. Distilling insights ensures that we pinpoint the right problem. Wildly ideating possibilities enables the right solution to emerge.

I believe in the power of design to create positive change. And that is my mission.
