Statement

Hey everyone. My name is Yidan Zhang. My parents were involved in graphic design and mechanical engineering and helped to pave my way to product design. After receiving my degree from Beijing University of Technology. I came to ArtCenter.

I love working with a variety of products. Everything from future communication tools to an interactive experience center, I design experiences and products that are for real people. A start with a feeling or a small detail and immerse myself in the world of possibilities. From there I jump into the mock-up process, testing the feasibility and the overall experience. The result should be emotional and visually pleasing. I never get tired of creating happy experiences for people, sometimes I just want them to feel like a kid again.
