Statement
Hello! My name is Yena Song. From Korea to Vancouver, I studied fine art and enjoyed thinking outside the box and pushing conceptual boundaries. At a certain point however, I craved a more logical approach to my creativity and wanted to make a greater impact on people’s daily lives. Whether I’m creating something new or reinventing the familiar, I investigate multiple topics in order to find a more useful and purposeful approach to design. Analysing trends, market research, world news and user interviews, are all incorporated in a finding and refining a solution or experience. I doodle, brainstorm, prototype, test and tweak to find the wow moment where creativity and logic are equally balanced and our day-to-day experience is brighter.
