Statement

Hi there, my name is Zoe Xiong. Growing up in Nebraska, in a Laotian family, my life was infused with creativity-music, baking, art and a connection to the land that surrounded us. I learned early on how to be resourceful, using what was available to make what was necessary. I understood that everything was imbued with feeling, that things had an existence beyond just ME. Exploring for me is collecting, ideating and mixing ingredients in order to find inspiration in unexpected combinations. Mashing materials with runway trend, infusing texture with emotion and translating story to foster self expression, I want to design products that allow people to communicate who they uniquely are.
